Create a Monitor

To add a monitor to your website to start reporting sensor data:

  1. Click 'Monitors' at the top of the Stat Temp website to go to the Monitors data grid.
  2. Click 'Create Monitor' on the top right.
  3. In the Create Monitor panel:
    1. Enter the Device ID. The Device ID may be located on a sticker on the back of the monitor or on the monitor display when the monitor is turned off.
    2. Give your monitor a descriptive name.
    3. If you wish to enable audible alarms for this monitor when it enters Critical or Warning ranges (as defined in the Environment Policy), toggle these options on.
    4. Select the appropriate timezone for the new monitor to ensure accurate data tracking.
    5. Select the power notifications you would like assigned to the new monitor.
  4. Once all the required information has been entered, click 'Create' on the bottom right corner of the panel.

Edit a Monitor

If you need to make adjustments to a monitor, enable audible alerts, enable/modify notifications, or lock firmware, follow these simple steps:

  1. From your dashboard, click 'Monitors' at the top of the page.
  2. locate the monitor you wish to edit.
  3. Click on the three-dot icon ( ⋮ ) associated with the monitor and select 'Edit'. OR Click directly on the monitor to open its page, then click 'Edit' on the top right corner.

Edit Monitor Configuration:

Monitor Details:

  • Name: Assign or modify the monitor's name for easier identification.
  • Alarms: Toggle audible alarms on or off.
  • Timezone: Adjust the monitor's timezone for accurate data logging.
  • Firmware Updates: If unlocked, the monitor will receive regular over-the-air (OTA)
  • updates. If locked, select the specific firmware version for your monitor.

Notifications:

  • Running on power: notification for when a monitor starts running on external power
  • Running on battery: notification for when a monitor starts running on battery backup.
  • low battery: notification for when a battery's charge is getting low (<30%)
  • No battery: notification for when the battery is close to dead (<15%)
  • Poor Network Quality: notification for when network quality is poor (<20%)Low drive space: notification for if the monitor SD card gets low (<2000kbs)
  • No detected sensors: notification for if there are no sensors detected in your monitor.

Edit Multiple Monitors:

To apply the same settings to multiple monitors, perform a mass edit on parameters such as firmware settings and notifications.

  1. Click 'Monitors' at the top of the Stat Temp website to go to the Monitor data grid page.
  2. On the Monitor data grid page, select the monitors you want to assign the new settings to. A blue bar will appear with various options.
  3. Click on 'Edit Selected' to open a side panel for configuring the desired settings.
  4. Ensure all configurations are set correctly, then click 'Save' at the bottom of the panel to apply the changes.

Monitor Data Grid

To access the monitor data grid, click 'Monitors' located at the top of the Stat Temp website.

By default, the grid displays monitor name, Device ID, Last Check-In, and Online/Offline. Personalize your view by selecting the gear shift icon near the search bar. Add or rearrange columns in the data grid. To save your customized view, click the arrows with the green dot next to 'View: name', select 'Save as', choose a name for your new view, then click 'Save view'.

Your monitor data grid is also filterable. You can filter by the monitor statuses; normal, warning, critical, and by groups if applicable. To filter your data grid, click the two-funnel icon next to the gear shift and select how you'd like to filter your view.

Monitor Actions:

If you need to take some quick actions with your monitor, you can click the 3 dots ( ⋮ ) on the monitor row, it will open the Monitor Action menu. From there you can select any of the following:

  • Edit - will open the monitor edit panel
  • Request a Reading - will force a reading for any sensors connected to that monitor
  • Request Telemetry - will update the latest network information
  • Reboot - sends a command to reboot selected monitors
  • Remove - removes the monitor

Monitor Menu

Press the white button to force a 'read now' - the device takes a reading

  • Press the blue or black button and access the current sensor's environment policy 
  • Press both the white and the blue buttons together to access the menu - the LED will be a solid purple
    • The white button then pages through the options
    • The blue button selects the option
  • To exit the Menu, press both buttons at the same time again.

Use the white button to scroll through the options in the menu, and use the blue or black button to select your menu item.

Takes a reading.
Travel Mode
  • Light will remain solid purple when selected
  • Takes offline readings and updates the screen. Will beep at you when/if the sensor goes out of range
  • To leave Travel mode, press both buttons again
View Configurations View Environment Policies View the parameters of the environment policies attached to your sensor(s).

View Connected Sensors shows the serial number of the connected sensor(s)

View Monitor Settings Sound on Warning/Critical

Factory Reset

Disable Audible Alerts

Will disable system alerts - wifi and battery.

Audible excursion alerts are managed on the website.


Disable Auto Reboot Stat Temp monitors auto-reboot every three hours. This option will disable that option.
