Event Data Grid
To access the event data grid, click 'Events' at the top of the Stat Temp website.
The grid defaults to open Events and displays status, type, subject name, message subject, creation date, clearance date, resolution date, and Event notes.
Personalize your view by using the gear shift icon near the search bar. Add or rearrange columns in the data grid by accessing the customization options. To save your customized view, click the arrows with the green dot next to 'View: name', select 'Save as', choose a name for your new view, and then click 'Save view'.
Your events data grid is filterable by event statuses (open, cleared, acknowledged, resolved), types, and groups (if applicable). To filter, click the funnels icon next to the gear shift and select your filter preferences.
Event Actions:
If you need to take some quick actions with Events, you can click the 3 dots ( ⋮ ) on the event row, it will open the Event Action menu. From there you can select any of the following:
- Show - will take you to the Event page
- Acknowledge - acknowledge and stop alerts. If the event has a snooze, this will start the snooze timer.
- Resolve - resolve and add resolutions to an event.
- Add Note
Multi-Select Actions:
If you need to manage multiple events, you can do so efficiently. This approach allows you to handle a range of events without needing to modify each one individually.
- Acknowledge
- Resolve
Event Page
The Event Page offers a complete overview of the selected Event, displaying important details and a real-time graph showing errors. On the right, you will find relevant information and available actions. You can add notes to your Event here.
Beneath the graph, an Activities view serves as a chronological timeline documenting all actions and notes for the Event.
Event Management - Acknowledging, Resolving, and adding Notes
If an event is created when a notification is triggered, that event can require certain actions to be taken before it can be closed or considered complete.
To stop an event from notifying you, you must acknowledge the event. This lets the Stat Temp system know that someone is aware of the issue and stops the notification from repeating or proceeding to the next step in the notification chain.
Acknowledge:
Acknowledging the event will stop all notifications for that event from notifying you further.
To acknowledge an event:
- Click the link that is sent with the SMS or Email notification. This link could take you to view the Event, where you can acknowledge it or take other actions, or it could be a link that once you click it, auto-acknowledges the event.
- OR on the specific event page, click 'Acknowledge' on the right.
Acknowledge and Snooze:
During some events, notifications may use the snooze feature. When the notification is acknowledged, it only snoozes until the event either resolves itself or the snooze period ends. Once the snooze ends, the notification re-opens and the notification process starts over.
To snooze an event:
- Click the link that is sent with the SMS or Email notification. This link could take you to view the Event, where you can acknowledge it or take other actions, or it could be a link that once you click it, auto-acknowledges the event.
- OR on the specific event page, click 'Acknowledge' on the right.
- The snooze is tracked in the activities log as well.
Resolve:
You cannot resolve an Event until it has been acknowledged, but you can resolve a snoozed Event. Resolving a snoozed event will not stop it from re-opening once the snooze has ended, if the event is still active.
To resolve an event, click 'Resolve' on the specific event page.
Add Notes:
Once an event has been created, notes can be added at any time. These notes are tracked in the activity log, user, and time stamped.
To add a note to an event, click 'Add Note' on the specific event page.
Cleared:
An event clears once the trigger that started the event resolves itself. Once an event clears, the notifications stop. A cleared event can still be acknowledged, resolved, and have notes added.
