Running a Report
To access reports, click Reports at the top of the StatTemp website.
-
Click the three-dot menu (⋮) next to the report you want to generate and select Run,
or click the report name directly.
Sensor Selection
- You can select multiple sensors for all report types, except those that include graphs.
-
Reports can also be generated for specific monitor groups to improve relevance.
Date Range
- For reports requiring a date range, scroll to the bottom of the date selector and use the Date Picker to specify the period.
-
For temperature reports, select whether to display values in Fahrenheit or Celsius.
Once all parameters are configured, click Run in the bottom-right corner.
After the report is generated, you can customize its layout by clicking Configure Columns.
- Columns can also be pre-sorted before exporting.
- When the report is ready, click Export.
Report Downloads & Printing
When exporting or printing a report, StatTemp uses a browser-based modal to ensure accurate and complete report generation.
As long as the modal remains open, the report will continue generating and will automatically download or print once complete. This approach prevents partial files and ensures large or complex reports process correctly.
If you refresh the page, close the tab, or navigate away while the modal is open, report generation will stop and the download will not complete. If you need to leave the page, you can select the Email Report option instead. StatTemp will finish generating the report and send it directly to your email once it’s ready.
This flexibility helps prevent inertia-related errors and ensures you can retrieve reports reliably — whether you stay on the page or step away.
Best practices for smooth reporting:
- Keep the report modal open until generation completes
- Use Email Report if you need to leave the page
- Avoid refreshing during active report generation
File Formats
- Reports can be exported in CSV, Excel, or PDF formats.
- Reports that include graphs are available in PDF only to preserve clarity and accuracy.
