Stat Temp Monitoring During Power Outages
Stat Temp ensures consistent monitoring and data retention, even during power outages or Wi-Fi interruptions. Here’s how it works:
During Power or Wi-Fi Outages
Offline Readings:
While offline, Stat Temp continues to take temperature readings at regular intervals. These readings are stored locally on the device.
Data Upload Upon Restoration:
Once power and Wi-Fi are restored, the stored offline readings are automatically uploaded to the system.
Delayed Temperature Alerts:
If a temperature excursion occurred during the outage, you will receive the corresponding alerts once the data has been uploaded.
Notifications You Will Receive
Missed Check-In Notification:
Alerts you that the system is offline and unable to send real-time data.
Running on Battery Notification:
Indicates the system is operating on backup power during a power outage.
Running on Power Notification:
Confirms power has been restored and the system has resumed normal operation.
Temperature Excursion Alerts (Post-Restoration):
Any critical temperature deviations recorded during the outage will be reported once data upload is complete.
Audible Alerts During Outages
Stat Temp devices provide audible notifications to ensure critical issues are immediately noticeable, even without network connectivity:
- SOS Beep for Network Loss: Alerts you to the device’s inability to connect to Wi-Fi.
- SOS Beep for Temperature Excursions: Notifies you if the monitored environment's temperature falls outside the configured range.
How to Prepare for Power Outages
Set Up Notifications:
Configure "Running on Battery" and "Running on Power" alerts in your system settings.
Ensure Audible Alert Functionality:
Regularly test SOS beeps for network and temperature alarms by forcing the sensor out of range.
Verify Backup Power:
Maintain backup power for your Wi-Fi router and monitor system to ensure continued operation.
With Stat Temp's robust monitoring and alert features, you can trust that your critical environments are safeguarded, even during power or Wi-Fi interruptions. For further assistance, reach out to our support team.
