Stat Temp Technical Specifications
Stat Temp System Requirements
Stat Temp is a wireless temperature monitoring platform built for simplicity, security, and compliance in healthcare environments. The system is fully cloud-based, with all functionality accessible through a modern web browser, no middleware or local server installation required.
Stat Temp does not store patient data or any protected health information (PHI). Its purpose-built to track temperature, battery, and connectivity status across your environment while supporting regulatory compliance without introducing unnecessary IT complexity.
Web Portal Access
The Stat Temp portal is your command center for monitoring devices, viewing live temperature data, managing user permissions, and configuring notifications and reports.
There’s no software to install—everything runs securely in the browser.
Supported Browsers:
- Google Chrome 59+
- Apple Safari 10+
- Mozilla Firefox 52+
- Microsoft Edge 14+
- Opera 46+
All communication between your browser and the Stat Temp portal is encrypted via HTTPS.
Network & Proxy Notes
Stat Temp monitors require an outbound connection to the internet over 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. They communicate directly with the Stat Temp cloud and do not require local servers, firewalls, or VPN tunnels.
If you experience issues with portal access or monitor connectivity:
- Ensure port 443 (HTTPS) is open
- Ensure DNS resolution is not blocked for
*.stat-temp.com
Captive portals or login pages may block devices from authenticating. These will require IT involvement to bypass.
Stat Temp Wi-Fi devices only support 2.4GHz networks. They will not connect to 5GHz. If bandsteering is enabled on your network, it may need to be disabled.
Confirm the following ports and destinations are allowed:
- TCP Port 8883 outbound (MQTT over SSL)
- Destination host:
iot.stattemp.io
- Destination IPs:
54.173.251.106
and3.221.75.93
- Destination host:
- Port 123 (NTP), host:
pool.ntp.org
- TCP Port 8883 outbound (MQTT over SSL)
- Avoid deep packet inspection or SSL termination that interferes with encrypted cloud traffic
- If using a proxy server, allow exceptions for Stat Temp domains
Stat Temp Technical Specifications

Cloud Communication:
- All data is transmitted securely over HTTPS (port 443)
- Devices do not accept inbound traffic
Stat Temp Data Flow
Stat Temp is hosted in the AWS Cloud, currently operating out of the US-EAST-1 region. Each monitor sends encrypted data to the Stat Temp servers. The cloud processes and stores temperature logs, sends real-time alerts, and makes reports accessible via the web portal.
No data is stored locally on the monitors. All configuration, history, and user settings are maintained in the cloud for secure, centralized access.
