User Roles - Viewing, Creating, and Editing
User roles in Stat Temp allow you to control what different users can see and do on your site. By creating custom roles, you can tailor access to match specific responsibilities—whether it's viewing reports, managing sensors, or adjusting system settings.
By default, only users granted the Administrator user role have access to User Roles.
Stat Temp User Roles
| Role | Description |
|---|---|
| Administrator | Full access to all features and data. By default, admins can see all sensors in all groups. |
| Power User | Nearly all admin privileges but cannot modify roles or system settings. |
| User | Can manage events, generate reports, and view sensors and monitors. |
| View Only | Limited to managing events, generating reports, and viewing the dashboard, with no broader permissions. |
How to Create New User Roles
- Click the gear icon in the top-right corner of the Stat Temp website and select User Roles.
- Click Create Role in the top-right corner.
- Enter a name for the new role.
- Use the checkboxes to assign permissions for specific actions—view, create, update, or delete.
- Once you've selected the appropriate permissions, click Save in the bottom-right corner to create the role.
