Getting the most of your Data Grids

All Stat Temp data grids are fully interactive, customizable tables that allow you to organize, analyze, and export your data the way you prefer. Every user can create and save their own personalized views, including sorting, filtering, column layout, and export format.

This guide explains how to adjust your grid layout, add or remove columns, save custom views, and export your data.

1. Customizing Your Data Grid

Every data grid includes tools that let you control how information is displayed.

Add, Remove, or Rearrange Columns

  1. Look to the right of the search bar for the three vertical lines icon (column customization icon).
  2. Click this icon to open the customization menu.

    From the menu, you can:

    • Add additional columns
    • Remove columns you don’t need
    • Drag and rearrange columns into your preferred order
  3. When you are finished customizing, click Apply.

Your grid will refresh with your selected layout.

2. Sorting and Filtering

Sorting Columns

  • Click any column header to sort by that column.
  • Click again to toggle between ascending and descending order.

Filtering

  • Click the funnel icon to filter data by conditions such as group, status, date, or other selectable attributes.
  • Apply filters to narrow the grid to the exact information you need.

3. Saving Your Custom View

If you make changes to the grid layout, a green dot will appear next to the up/down arrow icon. This indicates there are unsaved modifications to your current view.

To save your layout:

  1. Click the up/down arrows next to the view name.
  2. Click the save (disk) icon.
  3. A modal will appear. Enter a name for your new view.
  4. Click Save.

Your saved view becomes your default until you change it or select another saved view.

Saved views allow you to return to your preferred grid layout instantly—especially helpful for recurring workflows, reporting, or audits.

4. Exporting Your Data

Stat Temp data grids support exporting in multiple formats for reporting or documentation.

You may export grid data as:

  • CSV
  • Excel
  • PDF

To export:

  1. Click the Export button (file icon with right arrow, furthest right icon).
  2. Select your preferred format.
  3. Your exported file will be downloaded immediately.

Constrained or filtered data exports only what is currently visible in your grid.

5. Tips for Working Efficiently in Data Grids

  • Use saved views for recurring reporting or daily checks.
  • Add columns like Group, Event Status, Last Check-in, or Battery Level to quickly scan operational health.
  • When performing audits, export a PDF for sharing or a CSV/Excel for deeper analysis.
  • Filters stack—use multiple filters for highly targeted data sets.
