Viewing Events
The Events page allows you to review, investigate, and document individual events detected by your Stat Temp system. While most day-to-day triage happens directly from the Events data grid, opening an event provides deeper context, historical details, and access to required actions.
Use this view when you need to understand why an event occurred, document corrective action, or review detailed data such as graphs and notification history.
Accessing an Event
To view an event:
- Click Events at the top of the Stat Temp portal
- Locate the event in the Events data grid
- Click anywhere on the event row to open the Event Page
Tip: You can determine whether an event still requires action directly from the data grid using the bell icon, status, and acknowledgment/resolution columns—opening the event is only necessary when additional detail or documentation is needed.
Understanding Event Status Before Opening
Each event in the data grid includes visual indicators that show its current state:
- Whether the event is still active
- Whether it has cleared
- Whether acknowledgment or resolution is still required
Hovering over the bell icon or Status column will explain what actions, if any, are still pending. This allows you to prioritize which events need review before opening them.
The Event Page Overview
When you open an event, the Event Page provides a complete, detailed view of that specific incident.
Right-Side Event Details Panel
This panel includes:
- Device information (monitor and sensor)
- Event type (temperature, humidity, missed check-in, etc.)
- Notification name that generated the event
- Created at time
-
Acknowledgment and resolution state
Duration
Available actions, such as:
- Acknowledge
- Resolve (if required)
- Add Notes
Event Graphs (When Applicable)
If the event was triggered by a temperature or humidity excursion, a graph will be displayed showing:
- Readings leading up to the event
- The duration of the excursion
- When the condition returned to normal
This visual context is especially useful for troubleshooting, audits, and compliance documentation.
Activity Log
Below the event details, the Activity Log tracks everything that happened during the event lifecycle, including:
- When, how, and to whom notifications were sent and
- Acknowledgment actions
- Resolution actions
- Snooze activity (if enabled)
- Notes added by users
The Activity Log provides a complete, time-stamped history and cannot be edited.
Adding Notes to an Event
Notes can be added at any time—before, during, or after an event is resolved.
Notes are commonly used to record:
- Corrective actions taken
- Observations or findings
- Troubleshooting steps
- Shift-to-shift communication
All notes become part of the permanent event record and are included in reporting where applicable.
When to Open an Event vs. Stay in the Data Grid
You should open an event when you need to:
- Review a temperature or humidity graph
- Document corrective action or resolution
- Read or add notes
- Review notification delivery history
- Investigate the cause of an excursion
For routine monitoring, prioritization, and identifying which events still need action, the Events data grid is designed to be your primary workspace.
