How to Add and Edit a Sensor

Adding a Sensor

Plug the sensor into the Stat Temp monitor, it will auto-add the sensor(s) to your Stat Temp website once it takes its first reading. To force a reading, press the white button on top of the Stat Temp monitor.

please note that if you are setting up more than one sensor, it is advised that you set one up at a time.

Return to the dashboard by clicking the Stat Temp logo on the top left of the Stat Temp website.

Every new sensor is named after the monitor it is attached to and is assigned the 'Logging Only' environment policy (-200°C to 200°C (-328°F to 392°F).

From your dashboard, it will look like this:

Editing A Sensor

Once the sensor is added, to edit any settings, click on the new sensor from the dashboard. This will open the sensor page of the new sensor. On this page, click ‘Edit’ on the top right.

The following settings are editable:

  • Sensor name
  • Sensor Group
  • Environment Policy
  • Audible Alerts
  • Maintenance Mode

Once everything is set up properly, click 'Save' on the bottom right.


Sensor Troubleshooting

If you are experiencing any issues with your Stat Temp sensors, first, unplug the sensors and power cable from the monitor. Then turn the monitor off and leave it off for 60 seconds. Then plug everything back in and turn the device back on. If this does not correct your problem, please contact Stat Temp support using the "Contact Us" button below.

No Sensors Attached

You can receive this error if you have no sensors attached to your monitor. However, if you have a sensor attached to your monitor and you are still receiving this error, this could be caused by a few different issues.

To troubleshoot this issue, please unplug your sensor and turn the monitor off. Wait 30 seconds then plug the sensor back in and turn the monitor back on. If this does not fix your issue, you could have a shorted or bad sensor. You will need a replacement. Please contact us to get a new sensor by clicking “Contact Us” on the bottom left and leaving a brief message.
