Tenant Setup Wizard
When launching a new Stat Temp site, the New Site Setup Wizard walks you through the essential steps to get your system up and running quickly and correctly. This guide covers how to configure your system settings and group notifications to ensure your team receives the right alerts.
The New Site Setup Wizard automatically appears the first time you log into a newly created Stat Temp site. It’s a one-time walkthrough designed to help you configure your system from the ground up.
Step 1: Launch the Setup Wizard
- Register and log into your Stat Temp web portal for the first time.
- Click the “New Site Setup” button at the top of the dashboard.
- The wizard will launch and guide you step-by-step.
This wizard is only available upon your initial login. Once dismissed or completed, it cannot be reopened, so be sure to complete it before navigating away.
Step 2: Choose How You Want to View Your Data
Customize your system to match your organization’s preferences:
- Date Format – Choose between formats like MM/DD/YYYY or DD/MM/YYYY.
- Time Format – Select 12-hour (AM/PM) or 24-hour time display.
- Time Zone – Set your local time zone for accurate event logging.
- Temperature Unit – Choose Fahrenheit (°F) or Celsius (°C).
Once configured properly, click "Next" on the bottom right.
Step 3: Set Default Sensor Configurations
- Select the defaults that will apply to all new sensors added to the system:
- Environment Policy – This will be the default policy applied to any new sensors.
- Normal Log Interval – How often the device records data under normal conditions.
- Warning Log Interval – Logging frequency when readings are outside of the normal range.
- Critical Log Interval – Logging frequency when conditions are critical.
- Warning Notification – triggered when a sensor exceeds the warning parameters set by the environment policy.
- Critical Notification – triggered when a sensor exceeds the critical parameters set by the environment policy.
- Missed Check-In Notification – triggers when a sensor has missed its set number of expected check-ins.
- Missed Check-In Prior to Alerting – select the number of check-ins a device must miss before being notified
- Once configured properly, click "Next" on the bottom right.
Step 4: Set Up User Groups
Only complete this step if you are organizing your site using Groups.
Groups enhance monitoring by organizing users, streamlining data visibility, and simplifying notification management. If your organization has different departments or roles, like Pharmacy, Maintenance, or IT, groups help tailor the experience for each.
Why Use Groups?
- Dashboard and Data Grids: Filter data by group for focused views.
- Notifications: Assign notifications to an entire group instead of individual users.
- Reports: Generate reports filtered by group.
- Sensor Management: Control which users can see which sensors.
What You Need to Know
- Users not assigned to a group can view all sensors, but cannot filter by group.
- Users with the “View All” permission (default for Admins) can see all sensor data, regardless of group assignment. To restrict visibility, assign users roles like Power User, User, or View Only, or use custom roles without "View All."
How to Create Groups and Assign Users
- Create a Group of Users by clicking "Add a Group of Users".
- Name your group.
- Notification Assignment – Choose which notifications should be created for the group.
- Critical Excursions - environmental notifications for warning and critical ranges
- Missed Check-ins - notification that the device did not record its expected check-ins, indicating a possible network or hardware issue.
- Monitor running on battery - monitor no longer using external power.
- Invite Users – Enter email addresses and assign them the appropriate role.
When you assign notifications during setup, Stat Temp automatically:
- Creates new notifications tailored to the group.
- Adds the group to each notification—so future user invites are instantly included.
- Once everything is properly configured, click "Save" on the bottom right.
This ensures that all users in the group receive important alerts without manual setup later.
You're All Set!
Once you’ve completed the setup wizard:
- Your system settings will reflect your preferences.
- New sensors will inherit your default configurations.
- Notifications will be pre-linked to your groups, reducing setup time and preventing missed alerts.
