New Sensor Emails

Overview

Stat Temp now sends an email notification whenever a new sensor comes online. This helps system admins and designated users know exactly when to finish setup, naming the sensor, assigning an environment policy, and configuring read frequency or notifications.

This feature ensures new devices never go unnoticed and can be configured promptly after connection.

Default Behavior

• Enabled for all users by default - Every user will automatically receive new sensor email alerts when a sensor connects to the cloud for the first time.

  The email will include

  • Sensor Name
  • Serial number
  • Instructions on next steps

How to Manage New Sensor Notifications

1. Click your profile icon in the top-right corner.
2. Select User Profile.
3. To disable these emails, deselect the "New sensor notification" checkbox.
4. To re-enable them, simply check the box again.

As an Admin, You Can Bulk Edit New Sensor Notifications

1. Click the gear shift in the top-right corner.
2. Select Users.
3. Select the box to the left of every user you want to edit.
4. Click Edit
5. Select Edit New Sensor Notifications
6. Leave unselected to turn them off, check the box to turn them on.
7. Click Save on the bottom right.
