Using the Event Data Grid
The Events data grid is the primary workspace for monitoring, prioritizing, and responding to events in Stat Temp. It is designed to help you quickly understand what is happening across your site and take action efficiently—often without needing to open individual events.
Most customers manage the majority of their events directly from this view.
Default Events View
By default, the Events data grid displays open events only. This ensures that when you first open the Events page, you are immediately focused on items that may still require attention.
You can adjust this view at any time by configuring columns, changing or clearing filters.

Default Data Grid Columns
The Events data grid opens with a system-recommended column layout optimized for event management:
This layout allows you to quickly identify:
- Which events are active
- Which events have cleared but still require action
- Which events are fully complete
Understanding Event Status at a Glance
Each event row includes a bell icon that visually represents its current state:
-
Solid bell
Indicates an active event that may still require attention
-
Outlined bell (red or blue)
Indicates the condition has cleared, but required actions (acknowledgment or resolution) are still pending
-
Outlined grey bell (no fill)
Indicates the event is fully complete—cleared and all required actions have been taken
Hovering over the bell icon or the Status column will display a short explanation of what is still required, such as acknowledgment or resolution.

Taking Action Directly from the Data Grid
Many event actions can be completed directly from the data grid, allowing you to respond quickly and efficiently, especially when managing multiple events at once.
Acknowledging Events (Including Bulk Actions)
If events require acknowledgment, you can:
- Select one or more events using the checkboxes
- Choose Acknowledge from the available actions
Once acknowledged, notifications will stop for the acknowledging user.
Resolving Events
If an event requires resolution, you can:
- Select an individual event
- Resolve it directly from the grid when permitted
Resolution confirms that corrective or investigative actions have been completed.
Some events may require notes before resolution, depending on the configuration.
Adding Notes from the Data Grid
You can add notes to individual events directly from the data grid without opening the full Event Page. To do so, click the 3-dot icon to the left of the event.
This is useful for:
- Quick status updates
- Brief documentation
- Shift-to-shift communication
Events with notes are clearly indicated in the Event Notes column.
Filtering and Managing Event Views
The Events data grid includes flexible filtering options so you can focus on exactly what matters.
Common filters include:
- Status (Open, Cleared)
- Device Type (Sensor, Monitor)
- Acknowledged / Resolved state
- Groups (if user has View All permissions)
Filters can be combined to narrow results and are preserved when exporting data.
When to Open an Event
While many actions can be handled from the data grid, you may want to open an event when you need:
- Temperature or humidity graphs
- Full notification delivery history
- Detailed activity logs
- Extended notes or compliance documentation
Clicking an event row opens the full Event Page with complete details.
Why the Events Data Grid Matters
The Events data grid allows you to:
- Identify priority events immediately
- Understand what actions are still required
- Handle multiple events efficiently
- Reduce unnecessary clicks and page changes
- Maintain clear, documented workflows
For most users, this grid becomes the primary tool for daily event management—while the Event Page serves as a deeper investigative view when needed.
