Restocking Medication Trays
Restocking Medication Trays
When a used tray comes back to central supply for restocking, the first thing users will do is place the tray inside of the Stat Stock RFID Box. Next, you will open a web browser on your computer.
Go to your Stat Stock Website and Login
Click on Restock Kit
Click on Scan Now
The RFID Box will begin scanning all the RFID-tagged medication inside the box.
After the scan is complete, you will see any items that need to be addressed highlighted in red. Everything with a green checkmark does not require any action.
The biggest issue could be that the medication does not meet the par level needed to be fully restocked.
Clicking on the individual Item name will give you a detailed view of the inventory items and any action that is needed.
Once you have taken out any expiring, invalid, or unknown tags. Add in any RFID-tagged medication that is needed to complete the restock. When this is done, select recheck at the bottom.
The system will do a second scan and verify the change
You will receive a notification when the trays have been fully restocked.
The next step is to obtain secondary approval on the medication tray. This can be completed in two different ways. You can have a second person approve at the time of restocking, or you can send the kit to an approval queue to be approved later.
Note: Kits cannot be relocated into carts until they have secondary approval
Hitting Approve will slide out a section to enter credentials for the approving party. Once they are entered hit submit in the bottom right hand corner.
If no one is available to approve the medication tray. Select Send for approval. This will send the tray to the approval queue for later approval.
Click on Send for Approval
Once you have either sent the kit to the approval queue or approved, you will be taken to a screen to print a restock report or start a new stock.
Troubleshooting Scanning Kits
One issue could be an invalid tag. Clicking on the word invalid will give you more detail about the issue
Invalid tags are inventory items that have been tagged and approved into Stat Stock, but do not belong in the kit you are scanning.
When looking further into this item you can see it has no item name or lot. The system can only detect which RFID tag is present in the box as unknown.
