❄️🔥 What's New with Stat Temp🔥❄️

We’ve turned up the heat on improvements and cooled off a few long-standing annoyances. From smarter alerts to sleeker logins and better reporting, this update is all about helping you stay in control without breaking a sweat.

🥳 January 2025 🥳

Monitors in Groups

We’ve warmed up organization and cooled down the setup chaos. Groups now belong to monitors, not sensors — streamlining how you manage your system and simplifying deployments from the start.

This update makes grouping faster, cleaner, and more reliable. When you create a new monitor, you’ll assign it to a group right away — no need to wait for sensors to come online or manually organize them later. Each monitor defines its own group membership, and any sensors connected to it automatically inherit that group, ensuring consistent alerting, reporting, and visibility across your network.

All existing sensor groups have already been transferred to their corresponding monitors, so your setup stays intact and ready to go.

By shifting grouping to monitors, Stat Temp now offers a more scalable, logical structure — whether you’re setting up one department or an entire health system. Less clicking, fewer steps, and a much cooler workflow.

Create Notifications when Creating a Group

We’ve insulated your setup from unnecessary steps and cooled off the extra configuration work. When creating a new group, you can now clone any notifications in the Stat Temp system, specifically for that group. No more bouncing between screens, hunting for setup pages, or juggling assignments.

When you create these notifications during group setup, the group is automatically assigned, so alert delivery via email and text is ready from the start. This means you can move directly to assigning notifications to sensors or monitors instead of creating the group, navigating to notifications, building them one by one, configuring them, and then returning to associate them with the correct devices.

This update keeps configuration cooler, cleaner, and far more streamlined—giving you a faster path from group creation to fully monitored, without ever breaking a sweat. Less clicking, fewer steps, consistent setup, and a deployment workflow that stays comfortably within range.

Sensor Show Page

We turned up the clarity and turned down the guesswork. The Sensor Show page is now a full control center — everything you need to understand, configure, and act on sensor performance is in one place. Real-time trends, historical insights, notifications, monitor diagnostics, and event history are now just a click away, giving you a full picture of temperature and humidity conditions without digging through menus or multiple pages.

Start with Current Trends to see instant visual feedback, complete with policy ranges, highs/lows, custom date ranges, printing, and one-click exports. Slide over to Sensor Configuration to update environment policies, notifications, logging frequencies, and maintenance status. Move to Monitor Configuration to see connection health, IP information, firmware details, and uptime, so you can heat-seek network issues before they become problems. Finally, the Events tab keeps every excursion, missed check-in, and status change organized and exportable, giving you clear visibility into what happened and when, right down to per-event notes and resolution history.

Report Functionality

We’ve smoothed out report generation and kept things running steadily, no freezing, no guesswork, just clean, reliable downloads.

When you generate or print a report, Stat Temp now opens a modal in your browser. As long as that modal stays open, the report continues generating and will automatically download or print once it’s ready.

If you refresh the page, close the tab, or navigate away while the modal is open, the report generation and download will stop. No worries, nothing is lost. If you need to step away, simply choose the Email Report option. Stat Temp will finish generating the report in the background and deliver it straight to your inbox when it’s complete.

This flexibility helps avoid inertia-related issues during large or complex reports, keeps your workflow moving, and ensures you always get the documentation you need, whether you stay on the page or take things to go.

Notification Throttling

We’ve cooled down alert overload and turned down the heat on long-running events. Notification Throttling introduces a smarter, temperature-controlled alert cadence designed to prevent inbox overheating while still keeping every active event on your radar.

For the first five days of an active event, notifications operate at full power, following your existing escalation chain and delivery channels. Beginning on day six, Stat Temp automatically “lowers the thermostat” by sending only one notification per user per channel per day, keeping awareness steady without letting communication boil over. If an event stays active past day ten, the system shifts into a fully chilled mode, delivering one email per day to everyone in the notification chain. These scheduled alerts are sent at 1:00 PM EST, ensuring communication stays predictable instead of sporadic.

With this enhancement, Stat Temp now keeps alerts crisp, communication cool, and focus where it matters most. No more boiling inboxes. No frostbite either. Just a perfectly controlled climate for meaningful action.

New Sensor Emails

We’re keeping you in the loop — without leaving you out in the cold.

When a new sensor comes online, Stat Temp now sends an instant email to anyone with “New Sensor Notifications” enabled in their user profile. These alerts ensure that the right people, admins, compliance leads, or designated users, know exactly when it’s time to configure that sensor.

From naming and assigning environment policies to setting read frequency and notification preferences, this alert helps keep new devices from slipping through the cracks.

By default, these notifications are on for everyone, but you can easily turn them off:

Click your profile icon → User Profile → deselect “New Sensor Notifications.”

We’ve turned down the heat on confusion and made it easier to stay in the know.

There’s a brand-new Resource Links section tucked under your profile icon in the top-right corner of Stat Temp — your go-to spot for quick access to documentation, SOPs, and facility-specific resources that keep operations running at the perfect temperature.

If your organization has its own Standard Operating Procedures, audit guides, or special handling instructions, we can link them right here. Resource Links can point to outside sources (like regulatory sites or internal policy portals) or to downloadable documents — think setup guides, calibration logs, or temperature-excursion protocols ready to grab on demand.

No more scrambling through emails or shared drives to find the right file — everything you need to stay compliant and consistent is just a click away.

A few ways this keeps things running cool:

  • Give staff instant access to SOPs or training materials.
  • Keep calibration, audit, or compliance docs chilled and centralized.
  • Share updates in one place so everyone’s on the same page.
  • Reduce friction during inspections or new-hire training.

With Resource Links, your team stays informed, aligned, and operating at that sweet spot — calm, confident, and totally in control.

Event Logic

Some events end with a bang, but others fizzle out quietly — and now Stat Temp knows the difference. We’ve refined our event logic so that when conditions return to normal and all required actions are completed, the event gracefully wraps itself up without leaving any loose ends.

Even better: if an Event clears before your notification delay ever kicks in, Stat Temp will now automatically close it with a crystal-clear resolution — “Event cleared before notification delay was met.” That means no mystery alerts, no guessing games, and no confusion.

July 2025

System Settings - Added Security Features

We’ve cranked up the security! Our latest update brings more control over who can access your site and when accounts should be disabled. Stay cool knowing your data’s protected.

New Disable User Settings:

  • Set the number of inactive days before an account is disabled
  • Choose how many days in advance to notify users before disabling
  • Limit failed login attempts before lockout
  • Set how long a user stays locked out after repeated failures

New IP Whitelisting:

Restrict access to your site by allowing only specific email domains for login and invites. Think of it as your VIP list for site access.

Where to find it: Head to the gear icon at the top of your site to access System Settings. Only admins can enter, so make sure you've got the right credentials.

Missed Check-in Notification - Updated Trigger Logic

We’ve fine-tuned our alert system to reduce unnecessary noise (and stress). Previously, alerts were triggered after 2 missed readings. Now, the default is 3 missed check-ins, because sometimes sensors just need a second.

Need more wiggle room? You can now set this up to 10 missed check-ins before triggering an alert. It’s your call. Cool, calm, and customizable.

Where to adjust it:

  • Set a system-wide default in System Settings
  • Customize per device on the Sensor Edit page
  • Or update in bulk from the Sensors page

The dreaded 419 error

If you’ve ever been hit with the mysterious 419 login error, we feel your pain. That pesky bug, causing login headaches due to expired cookies, has officially been resolved. No more refreshing. No more reloading. Just smooth logins ahead.

New Humidity Reports

We heard you, humidity matters, and now you’ve got the reports to prove it. Our latest update brings three new humidity-focused reports to keep your environment in check and your audits easy-breezy.

Here’s what’s new:

  • Critical Humidity Event Report

Catch the spikes! This report highlights critical humidity events, so you can stay ahead of any issues that might cause damage or compliance concerns.

  • Humidity added to the Twice Daily Check-In Report

Get the humidity readings closest to 8 AM and 8 PM, perfect for those who need consistent, scheduled snapshots without sorting through a sea of data.

Where to find them: Click Reports at the top of your website to access these anytime. Customize as needed and export for easy sharing.

Sensor Visibility - No More Hidden Sensors!

We’ve fixed a long-standing frustration when adding new sensors. Previously, if a sensor wasn’t assigned to a group, it would be completely invisible to users within groups, making setup and configuration trickier than it needed to be.

Now, any new sensor that isn’t part of a group will be visible to all users, regardless of their group assignment. That means faster setups, fewer headaches, and no more wondering where your sensor disappeared to.

Sensor Replacement – Now with Less Sweat

Swapping sensors just got way cooler. Our updated Replace Sensor flow saves you time, clicks, and brainpower.

New Replacement Options:

  • Copy Settings

Carry over the sensor’s name and all existing configurations—no manual setup required.

  • Retain Historical Data

Link the old sensor’s data to the new one for seamless reporting. (Note: Historical data will not appear on the new sensor’s history graph on the sensor show page.)

  • Make Changes to Sensor

Want to make updates? After replacing, you’ll go straight to the edit screen for the new sensor.

Where to find it: Click the three-dot menu (⋮) next to any sensor in the dashboard or Sensor Data Grid and select Replace. Follow the prompts and click Replace in the bottom-right corner to complete the process.
