When you turn on 'Expiration date controlled', you are given some additional options.

10. The first one, 'Expiring Soon For Restock (in days)'

This setting will force users to replace any items matching this formulary item and expire within ___ days during the restocking process. This helps ensure the formulary will not be expiring too soon after a kit is restocked.

The first one, 'Expiring Soon For Restock (in days)' is when you want Stat Stock to notify you when that item is about to expire.

11. The second, 'Expiring Soon For Adding (in days)', stops users from adding tagged items matching this formulary item if it's within ___ days.

This helps ensure the medication going into stat stock has a long shelf life to reduce the number of expirations.

11a. Allow kit to be complete if expiring soon

Turn this on to override the expiring soon for restocks. This will send a warning to the user about the expiring medication, but still allow the restock process to complete.

Beyond Use Controlled

This is designed for refrigerated drugs which become short-dated when taking the medication out of the refrigerator. If marking an item as beyond use controlled you will still add the manufacturer expiration date to the tagged items and place in the fridge. The first time the medication is pulled out and scanned into a kit, Stat Stock will automatically change the expiration to the desired short date.l

Billing and Supply Chain:

This is designed to help track billing costs for those formulary items. These features can be utilized in the reports section of Stat Stock
